Unreached
By Jonathan LenningTypically in our “Unreached” series, we take a minute to tell you a little bit about an unreached people group so that you can pray for them. We still want you to pray for those who have not been reached with the good news of Jesus, but today, instead of reading that information here, we’d like you to check out Joshua Project for yourself.
In their own words, “Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the fewest followers of Christ. Accurate, regularly updated ethnic people group information is critical for understanding and completing the Great Commission.” To that end, they post information – such as population, language, location, culture, and religious beliefs – on all unreached people groups of the world, regardless of their size. Joshua Project is the source of information for all of our “Unreached” posts.
Their newly-updated website features interactive maps, prayer cards, news reports, and a mobile app. The mobile app, called JP Unreached, will make the Unreached People of the Day accessible on your iPhone or Android mobile device. Each people profile will include a photo, statistics, text, map, a Scripture reference, and prayer items. This is a great tool to help you specifically pray for those who are in desperate need of a Savior about whom they have never heard.
