  2. “Secret Church” found me through the book Radical.   And I thank God daily for the impact it has had in my marriage, life, home group and church. My wife and I have completed all 10 of the topics together. We have completed one with our home group and we are in the progress of doing “The Cross of Christ” as a home group. But the greatest work God has used “Secret Church” for happened just this last Sunday. We are a small church of 70, but God brought together 28 of us to do “Who (Continue reading…)

  4. Secret Church Simulcast – Is It Worth It? – Justin’s Story

Posted on September 22nd, 2011 by Radical

I’m a youth pastor in West Texas and decided to try out the simulcast for the youth group and explore the effect it would have on them.  I knew, because of friends who attend Brook Hills, have read Radical, and have listened online to other Secret Church events, that it would be great. What I did NOT know was if my students would capture the same hunger and be as impacted as I was hoping they would be, or that they would respond as they did! Boy, was I surprised!  Immediately after it ended they (Continue reading…)

  5. Secret Church – Cindy’s Story

Posted on September 21st, 2011 by Radical

When we attended the Good Friday simulcast at our church, it was the first time my husband and I had heard of Secret Church or David Platt. We were deeply impacted by the particular focus on the glory of God and His call to serve others instead of ourselves. The explanation of the cross and true salvation were uniquely clear and powerful. Since then, we have read the book Radical, initiated two bible studies in our home, and joined the Missions fellowship at church. We continue to make much use of DMI resources. I am (Continue reading…)

  6. Secret Church Highlight – “How To Study The Bible”

Posted on September 20th, 2011 by Radical

The following excerpt was taken from Secret Church – “How To Study The Bible”. (On why people don’t study the Bible…) A second phrase: “I have tried, but I just don’t know how to study the Bible.” “I am guessing that there are people all across this room who have gone to some conference or had a spiritual experience where you have said I need to learn the Word more. So you sat down to learn the Word, you have opened it up, but you haven’t known any where to start. What to do now. (Continue reading…)

Secret Church In Peru – Kelly’s Story

Posted on September 19th, 2011 by Radical

I attended the Good Friday Secret Church via simulcast earlier this year at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.  I just wanted to share that the Lord was able to use what I learned as I shared it with others in Ventanilla, Lima, Peru in early July.  It was a rich joy for those there to learn, and probably an even greater joy for me to teach.  Keep pressing on in your work!  I look forward to the next Secret Church meeting! Blessings, Kelly   Visit the DMI website for past Secret Church resources.   (Continue reading…)

  10. Secret Church – Not Just For One Night

Posted on September 14th, 2011 by Radical

The purpose of Secret Church is not just for the participants who come together for one night. “We want participants to come away with an insatiable hunger for God’s Word and we want people, when they leave, to be equipped to share what they’ve learned with others. No matter what it costs, we want every nation, tribe, tongue, and people group to hear and have the opportunity to respond to the gospel. That’s what Secret Church is primarily about.” – David Platt Secret Church in Nicaragua “We praise God for Brook Hills and your passion (Continue reading…)
