Reflections from the Horn—Part 2By Brooke M.
Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and are posting his reflections throughout the week.
The Horn of Africa is an incredibly complex part of the world. There are 114 people groups represented among its 100 million inhabitants. I knew these statistics to be true, but the weight of this reality did not set in until I experienced it for myself…
It was most revealing to hear the prayer requests. Some were for specific people to come to a faith in Jesus that would save them. Others were for workers among the unreached people groups that some here are serving. There were prayers for boldness and wisdom in spreading the gospel. And there were prayers for the church around the world, especially in the West, to awaken to this great need and to get on board with the mission that Christ Himself gave to His church, “Go make disciple of all nations…” We at Radical want to be a small part of the answer to these prayers.
- Pray that people will find true salvation through faith in Christ.
- Pray for Christians who work among unreached people groups in the Horn.
- Pray for believers to have boldness and wisdom as they share the gospel.
Throughout the month of April, we focused on praying for the people of the Horn of Africa. Will you continue to lift them up with us? Visit Pray for the Horn for additional information, stories, and prayer requests.
