    Secret Church Prayers – Answered!

Posted on May 29th, 2012 by David Platt

During this last Secret Church, we spent concentrated time in prayer for persecuted brothers and sisters in the horn of Africa. We heard from a particular married couple from a country in the horn…we’ll call them John and Andrea. When John and Andrea came to faith in Christ, John’s father virtually kidnapped John and Andrea’s children and hid them from John and Andrea. They still don’t know where their children are today. So on the night of Secret Church, we prayed that God would restore families to one another, particularly families where new believers are (Continue reading…)

    Reflections from the Horn—Part 4

Posted on May 4th, 2012 by Brooke M.

Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and have posted his reflections throughout this week. There are two distinct impressions I came away with. The first is that their objective is a worthy one; make the Good News of Jesus known among some of the hardest to reach people groups on the planet. (Continue reading…)

Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and will be posting his reflections throughout the week. We were able to spend time with those serving both mid-term and long-term. This gave us a unique glimpse into the joys, the struggles, and the needs they face as they do ministry and do life, all (Continue reading…)

    Reflections from the Horn—Part 2

Posted on May 2nd, 2012 by Brooke M.

Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and are posting his reflections throughout the week. The Horn of Africa is an incredibly complex part of the world. There are 114 people groups represented among its 100 million inhabitants. I knew these statistics to be true, but the weight of this reality did not (Continue reading…)

Going Deeper with Secret Church: The Cross and Suffering

Posted on April 12th, 2012 by Brooke M.

It’s been almost a week since Secret Church. If you joined us for the simulcast, maybe your head has stopped spinning from attempting to drink from a fire hydrant. Maybe not. But maybe you’re ready to revisit the truths taught on the topic of suffering and dive a little deeper. If that’s the case (and we hope it is!), here are a few resources that might be helpful. From the Radical Resource Library Why: The Gospel and Suffering — This four-part series urges us to explore the gospel and suffering in the book of Job.
