Thank you for your support. When you purchase items in our  Store  or  make a donation  to our ministry, Radical is able to serve the body of Christ in many different ways.  Here are a few of the ways your support has been used and how people have benefited, specifically when it comes to  Secret Church . Secret Church Gatherings:  With your help we facilitated our fourteenth  Secret Church  gathering this past year, which was simulcast to 60,000 people from 80 countries. We developed a new  Small Group Discussion Guide  to accompany Secret Church 14. We’ve continued to make Secret Church resources available in our  Resource Library  free of charge. “I’m from Colombia, (Continue reading…)

    This is Racism Too

Posted on December 2nd, 2014 by Jonathan L.

When I think of racism, I think of hate. Slavery. Jim Crow. Genocide. These things reek of hate, and they clearly fall under the category of racism. I don’t always think of less extreme situations in which someone is made to feel out of place or objectified because of their skin color. Careless words. Immature stereotype jokes. Ignorant assumptions. Not necessarily hate, but just as much racist. To flesh this out, read the below story from Helen Lee in Christianity Today, “My Son’s First Brush with Racism” : As the mom of a tween-aged son, I can never predict what words (Continue reading…)

For pastors, addressing the complex cultural issues of our day is undoubtedly intimidating. Where do you even start? Yes, the pulpit is the primary place to begin, but have you also considered the role your pastoral prayer might have in leading your congregation? In this brief excerpt from 9Marks , Jonathan Leeman talks to Mark Dever about addressing various cultural (and denominational) issues, particularly in light of the bad news that seems to come out regularly: LEEMAN: How does this talk of denominational decline—and let me broaden it flatly—how does this talk of cultural decline, where (Continue reading…)

    Brother Andrew and Open Doors

Posted on April 25th, 2014 by Jonathan L.

Last Friday during Secret Church , participants got a special video message from Brother Andrew. Before placing his faith in Christ, Brother Andrew, born in the Netherlands, fought in WWII as a “notorious commando.” God used an ankle injury to begin revealing Himself to him, and after coming home a cripple in his early twenties, Brother Andrew gave his life to Christ. Shortly thereafter, he felt sure that the Lord was leading him to become a missionary. From the moment he first trusted in Jesus, Brother Andrew’s life has been marked by faith. Most of his ministry (Continue reading…)
